Amtrak’s Southwest Chief.     The idea was simple; jump on the train in Los Angeles and over three days, photograph its passengers alongside the lambent splendour of the American landscape. Passengers shared a wealth of stories, perspectives and experiences as the Southwest Chief made a lazy meander northbound, through middle America, toward Illinois and its resting station, Chicago. The carriages were melting pots of conversation; ephemeral groups of strangers joyfully united by the expansive natural beauty around them and the narrow quarters of the train‘s carriages.
