Julia Creek, northern Queensland 2015 I travelled to North West Queensland for this project that scratches the surface of the life of modern australian Cattle Ranchers. The town of Julia Creek (Population 511) with its surrounding cattle stations and families, is nestled in the dry flat plains of the McKinlay Shire. I wanted to capture the extreme remoteness, the hard work and the traditions of a rich Australian culture that quickly fades from view in the country’s tightly packed coastal cities.
